On the heals of Googles announcement of its completed driverless car, MIT has unveiled its plans to test a driverless Uber type service in a busy Singapore neighborhood. The goal is to see what real world benefits or drawbacks a driverless taxi will have. It will also allow for the correction of any problems with the driverless technology being used. This project is set to start getting underway in 2015.
