HP's 3D Scanning PC, The HP Sprout, Will Start Shipping Tomorrow

At the end of October HP announced it's Sprout device which it claims will create a new computer category dubbed the "immersive computing device" category. HP combines it's TouchSmart PC with a 3D scanner, Projector and a Touch mat which behaves a great deal like the Nintendo Wii U controller. It will be running windows 8.1 and come bundle with HP Workspace.

The sprout allows a users to scan in images using the 3D scanner and manipulate the scanned picture within the computer in 3 dimensions. The 3D scanner doubles as a projector and displays different images you can interact with, such as a keyboard and a mouse, onto the touchpad. If you chose not to use this to replace your physical keyboard and mouse you can always make use of any 2 of the 4 available USB ports and connect your preferred input devices.

The HP Sprout begins shipping Nov 9th and for $1899 will include 8GB of RAM, Intel Core i7 4790S, a 1TB Hybrid SSD, a 23" 1920 x 1080 monitor and HP Illuminator (4 Built in cameras and a projector).
